What positions have you held on the NYC Alumni Board?
Programming Committee Co-Chair, before that, Deputy Programming Committee Co-Chair

How long have you been on the Alumni Board?

Why did you join the Alumni Board?
I work in the arts, and initially I started as a volunteer, planning an event related to careers in the arts. It was a great experience and after that, I joined the Alumni Board to continue to help with events, meet fellow alumni, and stay connected with the University of Chicago while living in New York.

What's the best part of being on the Alumni Board?
Getting the chance to meet and work with alumni from different graduation years and different programs, whom I never would have met otherwise. I grew up in the New York area and it's nice to see all of the Chicago alumni who have come here and made their mark on the city.

Why should other alumni volunteer?
It will give you a chance to meet new people, attend great events, and it's low-commitment-I promise!

What has been your favorite alumni event in NYC?
Having one of our alumni teams place first at the Nerd Nite trivia event in Dumbo this past October was definitely a highlight.

What is your favorite memory from UChicago?
O-Week: I was so excited to meet tons of new people who were just as quirky as I was!

Who was your favorite academic from your time at UChicago?
Michael Dietler

Where was your favorite Hyde Park hangout?
The Second Floor Coffee Shop in Reynolds Club
