Accidental Activist: A Conversation with Bill Browder
Registration is now open.
Bill Browder (AB '85, EX) will speak on his life and ongoing activism against the Russian government in the name of Sergei Magnitsky.
In 1996, Bill Browder founded Hermitage Capital Management to manage his investments as a foreign private investor in Russia.
Due to the actions of domestic entities and the Russian government, it became the catalyst for the death of Sergei Magnitsky (legal consultant to Mr. Browder), Bill Browser's successful agitation for the passage of the Magnitsky amendment to the US Congress Proceeds of Crime Act and the political, criminal campaign by the Russian government against him.
Bill will present his first-hand perspective on these extraordinary events and his view on how they are playing out in the present day for all of us.
While not available for purchase at the event, Bill will sign copies of his book at the event.
