New York Philharmonic Two Part Event - JAN 19
Event is sold out.
The first part of the event is a special visit to the America's oldest orchestra archives with Barbara Haws, the Philharmonic's Archivist/Historian, who will show us a selection of treasures from the Philharmonic's 175-year history.
After the presentation, the group will enjoy Ravel's "masterpieces, climaxing in the iconic Boléro, with its hypnotic beat increasing in intensity until it reaches a highpoint that’s nothing short of stunning. The formidable Jean-Yves Thibaudet joins the Philharmonic for the jazzy Left-Hand Piano Concerto, a five-finger tour de force."
The Jan 19th event itinerary is as follows:
- 6:45 p.m. - Arrive at at 4th floor of Rose building (65 and Amsterdam) where Ms. Haws will present for roughly 30 minutes; and,
- 8:00 p.m. - Concert start (everyone will need to be seated ahead of the start).
